the GMA director Harold Futch has passed away.. he had been here for 23 years..
he was healthy.. he was blowing leaves out of his driveway.. then sat down.. cracked a few jokes with his wife.. and just fell over.. and that's it.... crazy.. and sad.. really sad..
i guess this makes me the lead, senior director now.. weird..
what a weird way to start off the new year..

today is such a blah crap day.. just a sludgy slow day..
so i was playing with my new cell phone at work still trying to figure out how to connect online through it when i found myself locked out of my own phone.. apparently, i altered my PIN number around accidentally causing my phone to lock up and demanding that i phone customer service for a PUK in order to unlock the PIN to unlock my phone.. 1 service number, 1 toll free number, and a 40 minute long distance number later, my cell was saved.. .. i also pressed the SOS button with the thought that it would be immediate customer service - turns out it was 911.. oooOOOo.
i also found out that my lack of internet via the cell was because it wasn't on my plan.. cingular's site easily let me add it and now i can download the farting ringtone, a beer background graphic, and Techmo Bowl that i've dreamt of..
not to mention that i'll finally be able for my friends to get in touch with me.. =)

6 people playing the second game..
i played my hands in the poker tournament tonight fucking great..
everyone even said i played them fucking great..
here's just the hands that i lost on.. (????????)
first game:
pocket kings
the flop had 2 queens and a jack
the turn had a 6 of hearts
and finally, the river was another jack..
after all the betting (me going all-in), los flipped a trip jack..
wtf???.. well played both ways.. good hands.. but i should've bet harder sooner..
second game:
ace king suited! (known as the: BIG SLICK in poker)
i bet it all..
yums called..
he's got a jack - 8 offsuit..
nothing on the flop for both of us..
the turn = nothing..
the river was an 8............
wtf?????... below a 2% chance of winning...
even yums was like, "OMG! i can't believe it.. jay, you had me beat soo bad.. dude.."
ah well.. fun was had and knowledge gained..

oh my fucking god
fuck van helsing.... BY FAR THE WORST MOVIE EVER.... enriched with horrible dialog and the worst acting ever, the classic van helsing story (plus werewolf, vampires, frankenstein, etc) is/are fucked forever... i've seen a lot of movies.. but.. by far, this is the worst movie i have ever seen.... ever.. i mean, ever..
